The start of the war was in April 1775, the battle of Lexington occurred, closely followed by the battle of Concord and those were the two starting wars. The shot at Lexington marked the first blood spilled in the war of the American independence. British soldiers, called lobsterbacks because of their redcoats, and minutemen—the colonists' militia—exchanged gunfire at Lexington and Concord in Massachusetts. Described as "the shot heard round the world," it signaled the start of the American Revolution and led to the creation of a new nation. Sir lafayette, took a stand, it was taken by fighting in the battles and leading many other soldiers against great britain to help america win their freedom. Some effects of the american revolution would be the 1783 Treaty of Paris that ended the Revolutionary War, and the world was never the same after that because people in all other countries knew that they had more control of their government and a big effect for the people around the world. The contagion of liberty spread, inspiring people to revolt against their leadership in France, Haiti, Ireland, Poland, the Netherlands, and throughout the Spanish empire. So the American revolution really helped out most of theses countries believe that they have the power to make something better of their countries by taking charge of their government and not just sit and do nothing.
